Who is Responsible for brutal crimes in our society? A worth question if the answer is not instant as our politicians answer every question, not a worth if suddenly blamed to someone or our culture. Please let just not answer in an instant rather let us think practicaly and try to derive a remedy for the same.

What exactly the reason behind the unfortunate incidents happen in India like eve teasing, rape and molestation? I have read many blogs, articles and even heard activists talking in TV shows that our male centered mind set which is the reason behind all these crime. I am not disagreeing here completely, but my point is, is this the only reason for the crimes, can we sit and analyze the practicality of this point. How exactly this is helping in increasing these crimes? And again the father centered culture is not only in India rather this is the whole world culture. There are very less tribes, yes literally tribes where a boy goes to the girl’s house after marriage but in most, almost all cases girl goes to the boy’s family after marriage and this is what the tradition from our sophisticated way back culture which is an ideal culture to follow, even people from outside India accepts this. Our culture is the only culture where we pray and respect the women most as the incarnation of goddess, a child respect more to his/her mother than father. There is a special bond between brothers and sisters even that bond is not there between two brothers. Our culture loves women in many forms mother, sister, wife and utmost worship them as goddess. But for the wrong doings of few insane, uneducated rascals or few powerful politician leaders, we come out and shout against our culture saying that, this is male dominated society and that is the reason behind these crimes.

Can we think in this way, education starts from family and for a good, healthy and sophisticated cultured family, discipline is more important and to run a family in discipline, someone has to take the responsibility of the lead and in our culture that is our father who takes the lead and that is also to earn for the livelihoods and the mother takes the lead of home affairs, how to manage the kids, what is necessary for the family, etc and with this balanced leadership we as kids learn the most valuable cultures from our family. Even now- a-days both our parents take the some responsibility to raise their children with a high valued culture.  Again some alleges that parents not raising their daughters like their sons, here cannot we see that why parents do not have the courage to do so? Because they are living in the society and they are pretty much getting how these crimes happening and that’s why they are more concerned about their daughters. They are not wrong doing that, they are doing that because they are parents and they do care the most for their daughters. If the society will be free of these crimes, then no parents will fear to give the same freedom to their daughters like their son.

I am not saying that this is the right way to do, but what my concern here is this is not the reason for the crimes increasing in our society. This is the time we need to find the root cause and trying to find out the remedy instead of same blame game to our culture, male dominated society, daughters not raised like son, etc, etc. Let’s sit and find out who generally involves in such crimes. After a certain amount of thoughts, discussions and arguments with my friends, I found out these are the people who generally involves in these crimes.

·         People who does not have proper basic education from their child hood.

·         People who does not have their family who do they care about.

·         People who are frustrated with their lives

·         People who don’t have access to the main stream society

·         People who don’t care about their respects in society

·         People who don’t care about their family values

·         Ill minded people who are sick in their mental condition

·         People who are being used by the so called politicians, goondas and in turn get the ego that they can do everything including such heinous crimes under the powerful wings of their god father.

There are few exceptional classes of people also involve in the crimes

·         People who do think women is the object of pleasure

·         People who cannot see anything other than their wealth and political power

·         People who knows, nothing can happen even after they do such a crime

·         Politicians who got the maximum freedom in all systems in this country

So it does not seem the male dominated society or the father lead culture of India is the reason behind these brutal crimes. We need to go to the root of the issue. We need to find out why and how the people or the mind sets are created who are doing this brutal crime. Strict Law and its enforcement and execution are necessary but again justice comes only after the crime, justice just cannot stop the crime. So for wiping out the crime we need to find out the root why this type of people or mind set created and need to find out remedy for every category of people who are involved in such crimes.

                I will say if we go to the practical root of this issue, the corruption in the system and unaccountable working culture of the system which is the source of creating this type of people and encourages them to involve in crime. So we need to uproot this practice which will help in wiping out the crime. Then only the women in India can move freely in the street at any time.
